Mohammed Arshad Amin was born in Nyaung Chaung Village, Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State, Myanmar. He now lives in the world’s largest refugee camp in Bangladesh. His journey as a poet began amidst the struggles and despair of displacement from his homeland. Through his poetry Arshad has worked to amplify the voice of the Rohingya people. He has previously published the books ‘Rhythms of the Heart’, ‘No More Refugee Life’ and ‘No More Struggle’.
