Mayu Foyajul Islam is a Rohingya poet and author. He is the Founder and Executive Director of the Rohingya Lumina Network (RLN), an organization committed to supporting and empowering the Rohingya community. He is deeply passionate about literature with a particular focus on the field of poetry.
He has dedicated his life to writing poetry that brings global attention to the plight of the Rohingya community. He is equally committed to inspiring Rohingya youth and future generations to embrace poetry as a means of expression and empowerment. His poems have appeared in numerous international anthologies, magazines, and literary platforms, earning him recognition as one of the leading young Rohingya poets in contemporary literature.
Mayu’s lifelong aspiration has been to serve as a poet and author representing the Rohingya community. At the age of 21, he co-authored The Untold Memoirs of Arakan with his friend Pro Sawyedul Amin. In 2023, he independently published his second book, Resilient Rohingya: Rising from the Ashes.
